THE RöMER STORY
In 2009, whilst visiting the rugged terrain of the Wild Coast in South Africa, the Romer Cooler Box story unfolded. With fishing rods packed and excitement in the air, the Romer family soon realized the need of a durable cooler box as most of the campsites and areas failed to provide ice, cold beer or even electricity.
Mike, an engineer by trade, soon learned what the best materials would be to mold and manufacture solid cooler boxes ensuring ice, beer and food be kept ice cool during long summer months whilst hunting or fishing.
From an idea, Romer started to develop precision rotomolded cooler boxes with various features. Today, Romer boasts a leading manufacturing plant in the Easten Cape of South Africa. The rotomold precision process ensures that the cooler boxes are produced with even wall thickness, especially in the corners, which guarantee durability and temperature control. Keeping ice cold is our business!
Romer cooler boxes are equipped with:
- Tough latches and easy carrying handle straps;
- The latches and handle straps are easy do it yourself replaceable;
- A bottle opener on the inside of the lid;
- A drainage plug to manage easy drainage of water;
- A Thick durable mold.
